Cookware is the utensil which is used to cook food in kitchen. Without cookware, there is no meaning of kitchen. The type of cookware, one uses in her kitchen depends, upon many factors. Heat conductivity is an important consideration in case of cookware. Conductivity means ability of the cookware to transfer heat from the source to the food in an efficient manner. Efficiency in this case, it should transmit the heat in a consistent manner. Cookwares which are more efficient in conducting heat are more expensive as these utensils have heavy bottom.

Reactivity is another important consideration. Certain metals react with food and affect them. For instance, copper and aluminum react with different acids contained in different types of foods. Reactivity can alter the color and taste of your meal.

Size of the cookware should be enough to cook your family meals. In addition, there should be some bigger cookware also in your kitchen to cook larger amount of meals if some guests are coming to your house. For small amounts, use only smaller cookware as larger cookware need more amount of heat to cook.
